Writer and Producer Taryne (PiNKY) LAFFAR descends from the Bardi and Jabbir Jabbir nations of the West Kimberley, and a Filipino and European background. Taryne has worked across a range of original First Nations storytelling productions, in various roles as a writer, director, and producer over the years.
In 2020, she founded PiNK PEPPER, a Western Australian Indigenous female owned production company which develops and produces scripted and unscripted screen stories, focused on inclusion and diversity both on and off-screen.
PiNK PEPPER has several projects underway including series 2 of Our Law, currently in post-production (series 1 is available on SBS OnDemand). LAFFAR is also known for her work in the films Bran Nue Dae (2009), Stoned Bros (2009), Mad Bastards (2010), Rainforest WarrirorZ (2013), KGB (2019) and Lustration VR (2022).
